I ask a lot of silly/hypothetical questions, but that’s just because I’m driving to or sitting at work, and something strikes me as an interesting topic for discussion.
They do. Marina, poof, wrestle and the occasional anonymous teen pops in with gossip crap. The teens mostly are there for attention “oh no I touched a boy’s winky with the back of my knee! Am I pregant?” threads.
Most questions asked could be solved in 3 minutes on Google, but there are lots of crap threads put up to try and rack up points.
@lovelocke; There is a big difference between asking a question because you want to hear some intelligent responses and discuss them and what the spammers/idiots are doing. Can you really compare Poof to Gatablanca?
Jeez. That’s the thing about fluther, too many typers, not enough sense.
This threads going to deteriorate pretty quickly into a flame war where more gossip/comebacks will get “great answer” status because of the popularity contest aspect it promotes.
@lovelocke; I know we are not supposed to attack each other, but some of the things you talk about on Fluther (pedophilia, emetophilia, maybe zoophilia?) just creep me out. I don’t think you have much of a right to criticize anybody else on here for their questions or answers. And neither do I, so that is all I’m going to say.
Forgive me. The next time you decide to throw barbs at other members and their intellignence or lack thereof, I will picture you sitting naked on the toilet pondering what snarky thing you are about to say next. And I will know you will only become worse if it is pointed out to you that you are far from perfect yourself. Hope you’ve got a good seat.
Assuming it is true that people are asking questions just to have a conversation, is that so wrong? Even little babies cry for companionship; we are—most of us—social beings.
Having discussions and arguments are a good way to learn about different questions or topics. You might even change some of your ideas. I have tweaked some of my views on different things because of knowledge I have learned from discussions here. It helps to keep an open mind.
