What do you think of South Korea's idea to pay to be put in solitary confinement for a day?

For $100 you can unplug and relax. Would you do it? Is sounds fun. Also you can’t talk or have a cell phone. It sounds like a holiday. Also a chance to unwind and get homework done.

I’m not that plugged in now so it would be a complete waste of 100 perfectly good dollars that could be spent on something else.

I wouldn’t pay to go to prison, but I would pay for an unplugged vacation. I’d want to be able to check my phone for voicemails I guess, in case there was an emergency.

I stayed at Mohonk several years ago (suggested by some jellies) and there are no TV’s in the rooms (unless you pay extra for one) I don’t remember if there was a phone in the room. All sorts of activities to do during the day, or just stare at the incredible vista. I was there in the summer, the link will show the current season. https://www.mohonk.com/?nck=gbbtri&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4PeHpuaR3wIVQSSGCh2lTwKWEAAYASAAEgKCkvD_BwE

In America I doubt we have the suave in prison, usually I hear about prisons being overcrowded.

@kritiper You have to be online to answer the Q. Lol.

@JLeslie True. But I don’t have to have a cell phone, tablet, laptop, watch, talking box thing, nor do I have to spend all day in front of a screen.

I give you this experience for $50.
Or $25, in case someone wants to undercut me.
Or $1.

Smells like canned air to me.

Wasn’t there an isolation tank fad a few decades back? I would do that first. And, I believe there are still monasteries around where you can live for a while that would serve a similar purpose.

Or this monkforamonth sounds interesting, more interesting than sitting in a jail cell.

One of the beautiful things about a backpacking trip in the wilderness is being away from any news, any media, and if done right, any electronics other than a flashlight for a few days.

And isolation tanks are still around!

For just $20, any lucky guy can come slam his dick in my door! First timers get two slams, for the price of one!
