When I was in math class I was frequently frustrated. I thought that my brain was gobbling all the sugar from my body. Was I on to something?

Yes, stress and brain activity burn calories. Stress isn’t healthy, though. And burning calories may mean a little less stored fat, but it does very little for cardiovascular health, etc.
