After reading his tweets I don’t need the media to tell me he has mental issues.

Dutchess_lll's avatar

They all always have. I don’t get how it continues to go on and on.

ucme's avatar

It reflects more on the obsession of those sorry individuals who fall over themselves to pour scorn over all things Trump.

seawulf575's avatar

Considering I don’t do Twitter and I am not scope-locked on everything Trump puts out, do you care actually give a source? So that we can know what you are talking about? I do find it amusing though that you have 4 people that have no more idea than I which tweet you are asking about yet have no problem jumping on the Trump bashing train. Or is this question really just a Trump bashing moment?

chyna's avatar

^I think @jeruba’s link will take you to the tweets.

ucme's avatar

I think perhaps @seawulf575 should read my post through fresh eyes & will then clearly see that I am not one of the four referred to, amusing that you assumed so in the first place.

flutherother's avatar

Strange, misspelled and paranoid though the tweets have been up till now I don’t think we have seen the worst yet. Trump is also a narcissist and cannot abide criticism and there is a lot more criticism coming his way soon.

seawulf575's avatar

My apologies, @ucme. I stand corrected.

Jeruba's avatar

And now the president is attacking Conway, of course. Showing his saner, more rational side, is he?

I’m starting to think George Conway is some kind of hero. Braving enemy fire on an actual battlefield is one thing. Upsetting domestic tranquility on the personal level with public remarks is another and might take more courage, especially when it’s Kellyanne across the table. I can’t even imagine the script for that.

I don’t admire either one of them, but I have to give them both points for toughness.

chyna's avatar

I’d like to be a fly on their wall at dinner time.

It is literally impossible to diagnose any mental health condition from tweets or other public displays. Diagnosing requires careful attention to private interviews that lead a doctor to a record of behavior over time.

Stache's avatar

@seawulf575 “I do find it amusing though that you have 4 people that have no more idea than I”

I do know what I’m talking about because I read his tweets, unlike you. I base my opinion of Trump by his own words.

Dutchess_lll's avatar

Exactly my thoughts @Stache. That’s why I follow him on Twitter, so I can fact check what people say about him.
That’s really about the only time I check in to Twitter.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Do you think it possible that Trump might already have a secret shrink (besides Hannity) with whom he has been consulting for awhile?

seawulf575's avatar

Well I can say in all honesty that @stanleybmanly, @Stache, and @Dutchess_lll have all abused me when I don’t give a source or even if I do and they don’t like it. But here we have a question asked about making a decision based on tweets and absolutely nothing is cited for a frame of reference. Yes, @Stache I’m sure you are scope-locked on Trump’s tweets, but let me ask…which specific tweets was @stanleybmanly asking about? Tell me, from the information in the question, which tweets? “latest tweet fest” isn’t very specific, so how do you know if you have read the same ones as @stanleybmanly? I know it doesn’t matter because all you want is a chance to Trump-bash. But maybe you should read @ucme‘s comment…your responses to tell us more about your obsession than Trump’s mental health.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Do you mean to tell us that you are unaware of Trump’s day long twitter rant? You’ve heard NOTHING about the open speculation on the part of the fool’s allies regarding his mental health?

Stache's avatar

@seawulf575

You really must live under a rock. Google Twitter. Look at Trump’s tweets. My obsession with Trump is justified. He is doing things that hurt people I love. He is a joke of a president to all around the world. He is instilling hate with his tweets. Hate crimes are on the rise since Trump has been in office. Anyone who sits comfortably and jokes about those of us who are obssesed hurt by this man lives a privileged life. @ucme is not affected by the policies of this man. People in my life are. Why the hell should I listen to him?

seawulf575's avatar

@Stache despite the leftist media claim of hate crimes being on the rise in the US, I throw the brown flag on that one. Part of the problem with that claim is that it doesn’t wash out all the unsubstantiated claims, the fake claims, and the claims that were actually leftists as the perpetrators. The left loves to claim that, but they don’t want to actually dig into the data.

Stache's avatar

Good grief. That’s bs. Fake claims are minimal. That doesn’t take away from the facts.

https://www.justice.gov/hatecrimes/hate-crime-statistics

seawulf575's avatar

Except that there was a huge spike in fake claims since Trump was elected. But, by the way, you didn’t let me down, @Stache. As predicted, you couldn’t actually answer the question of which Tweets @stanleybmanly was referring to. Which means all you wanted to do was to Trump bash.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Let’s get back to the issue of whether or not you are aware that our President spent a full day raving like a lunatic over the internet? Or that the resulting cacophony now raging around the man’s mental health is probably the number one news story world wide?

Stache's avatar

@seawulf575 Fake claims do not take away from the facts. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46189391 I am giving you FBI statistics.

Here’s Trumps twitter account. You don’t need an account to read his tweets. https://twitter.com/potus?lang=en

I have given you what you asked for. You are a big boy. Put on those reading glasses and get to work.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

^^ Too late @Stache he has already left to go rake the forest floor.

mazingerz88's avatar

Michael Moore said the best way to get trump’s goat is to use comedy. Not sure if he also means it’s a way to expose his unfitness for office.

Problematic mental health? It seems there is no limit to how far trump could go doing crazy stuff as far as both his users and worshipers are concerned.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@seawulf575, @chyna told you that Jeruba’s link will take you to the tweets. Here is Jeruba’s post.

He is nuttier than a fruitcake.

Kardamom's avatar

I don’t think you need to have a PhD in Psychology to figure out that Donald Trump is mentally ill. All you have to do is read what he writes, and listen to what he says. No sane person would say the things that he does, especially not someone who is in his position, as President of The United States.

If someone in my household said and did the things that Trump says and does, I’d be talking to a doctor, and a psychiatrist, and probably a family lawyer to take over power of attorney, and get a medical proxy.

seawulf575's avatar

@Dutchess_III you will just never learn. Did you actually read the article you just spouted (from @Jeruba)? There is one tweet in that article from Trump. There are several from Trump detractors. The article does reference several other Trump tweets…two where he slams SNL for stale, unfunny skits (an opinion and one I tend to agree with) and a couple where he points out how week the Steele Dossier is, why it is that weak, and who funded it. Also a couple about John McCain where he points out who gave the Steele Dossier to the FBI to use (McCain). Sorry kids, that isn’t delusional…those are facts. Only on the left are facts viewed as delusional and a sign of mental health problems.

seawulf575's avatar

@Stache…did you happen to read that article you cited? And by the way, it is from the BBC, not the FBI. If you want actual stats without actual slant to them you need to go to the FBI.gov website. But back to the foolishness you showed. Wow…where to start!? Okay…let me quote the article that I know you didn’t read
“The rise in hate crimes is attributed to an increase of about 1,000 police departments that are now choosing to report these incidents, the FBI says.” Gee, if more people actually start reporting it, the number goes up. Does that mean there are more than there were? No, it just means they weren’t reported as hate crimes before. 1000 more police departments chose to send in their statistics to the FBI over the past year. Oops….there goes your fact, flying right out the window. But let’s not stop there! Let’s continue using this article to make you look like even more of a kook that you normally do.
“The new report comes a month after 11 Jews were killed by a gunman that burst into their synagogue in Pittsburgh as they prayed, marking the deadliest attack against Jews in US history. The suspect was charged with dozens of federal hate crimes.” Notice anything here? It gives no details about the shooter. He was a nut job and, oh yeah, he hated Trump…felt he was a globalist and not a nationalist. But you probably didn’t know that since this article didn’t tell you that and you would actually have to do more research. What am I saying? you didn’t read (or comprehend) the article you cited, why would you do more research?
The article does talk about attacks on the Jewish are up. But it doesn’t talk about who is attacking them, other than that one reference to a shooting. But we did recently have a Muslim representative from MN that was spewing anti-Semitic rhetoric. And all you on the left defended her. Guess important people spewing hate don’t count if they are Dems, right?
But your article says something different “Jonathan Greenblatt of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League, said the report “provides further evidence that more must be done to address the divisive climate of hate in America.” Think a Dem representative spewing hate against Jews could qualify as adding to the divisive climate of hate in America? And that is from the left, not the right….not the POTUS. But there’s more!
“Crimes against Jewish Americans saw a notable increase of 37% over 2016.” That’s 37% during 2016. Who was POTUS? Oh yeah…OBAMA! Trump wasn’t elected until November and didn’t take office until 2017. So who is responsible for this increase? You want to blame the increase on the divisiveness of the country and want to blame that on Trump. Yet your FACTS show that it was, in fact, occurring before Trump took office which means it was the DEM POTUS that led the march of hate crimes against Jews.
I could keep going, but really….why? You are brainwashed to the point that you post articles that shoot holes in your ideas and, in fact, support mine, but can’t see it. Here, let me repeat my statement to you:
“despite the leftist media claim of hate crimes being on the rise in the US, I throw the brown flag on that one. Part of the problem with that claim is that it doesn’t wash out all the unsubstantiated claims, the fake claims, and the claims that were actually leftists as the perpetrators. The left loves to claim that, but they don’t want to actually dig into the data.” Isn’t that just what you did? You provided an article that doesn’t really go into the full details, try to blame them all on the right and on Trump. You think you are providing facts, but your facts and the story that goes with them doesn’t support your theory and proves my point.

Stache's avatar

@seawulf575 I quit reading after this comment, “And by the way, it is from the BBC, not the FBI” because it shows that you don’t know how to find the source in an article. Didn’t you learn this in middle school?

BBC listed the source of the statistics, the FBI, in the article.

I also shared this government source above for you. https://www.justice.gov/hatecrimes/hate-crime-statistics

It is clear that you don’t read anything thoroughly that you ask from us and you don’t know how to find a source in an article. You are a waste of time.

seawulf575's avatar

@stache you are, if nothing else, predictable. I just tore your entire article to shreds right along with your stance on the topic and instead of trying to prove me wrong (which you couldn’t do), you try a personal attack. No surprises with you.

Jeruba's avatar

I cited that article for the George Conway quote. There are plenty of other sources on the Trump tweets.

Patty_Melt's avatar

The President uses tweets to pass information that will affect the stock market.
Many extras are to keep us from catching on, but paying attention a smart person can catch on.

seawulf575's avatar

@Jeruba that is what I thought too…why you cited that article. Unfortunately your fellow jellies have nominated you as THE source for the tweets. Not sure why since you didn’t ask the question. And amazingly, the one that did ask the question STILL has not given any source for his question.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@Patty_Melt where did you hear such nonsense? He only uses Twitter to make himself feel like he has a big dick.

ucme's avatar

Just to touch on the special mention I got from @seawulf575 & @Stache.
No one need listen to me…we have staff for that!

seawulf575's avatar

@ucme I think your observation was spot on. Just giving you credit.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Dutch, you just don’t know what to look for, apparently. That makes it better for those of us who do.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Conspiracy theorists believe they Know Things that others don’t. It makes them feel super secret special.
Trump is one of the the dumbest people on this planet. If he’s deliberately “affecting” the stock market, someone else is pulling his strings…and we already know he doesn’t let people who are smarter than him tell him what to do.
But believe what you want.

Patty_Melt's avatar

What conspiracy? Do you know what the word means? Just because you don’t know about it doesn’t make it a conspiracy.

Dutchess_III's avatar

The idea that trump is conspiring to send secret messages via twitter to affect the stock market is beyond absurd. Absurdity is the hallmark of a conspiracy theory.

chyna's avatar

In answer today, 3/21/19 to the O/P, Trump is again, for the 4th time this week, saying bad things about a dead man, John McCain. His latest on the subject was that he was all butt hurt that he didn’t get a “thank you” for approving McCain ‘s funeral arrangements. His own party is turning against him for these remarks, and even Fox News, who supported Trump. Shep Smith said Trump was “fighting with a dead guy again today, a dead war hero.”
Sure seems like he has some mental issues, or is just wanting to make sure he isn’t elected again.

Dutchess_III's avatar

He is unreal. I wonder if his aids protect him, somehow, from the brunt of the back lash so he doesn’t even know that he is being viewed with utter contempt. Even the republicans are openly dismayed with his behavior regarding McCain.

stanleybmanly's avatar

I think you have to think about the notion that Trump can’t say something ludicrous that might drastically disrupt the stock market. Right now there is a huge crisis brewing over the dummy’s (secret) plan to tax the shit out of imported automobiles, with the unitntended (I assume) but damned certain result in world wide disruption of the auto industry.

Patty_Melt's avatar

He is making tips to friends, not changing corporate functions. He has first dibs on a lot of information. He is just giving heads up covertly in tweets.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Is that legal?

Dutchess_lll's avatar

Of course not. I think it’s called “insider trading.”

SQUEEKY2's avatar

NO @stanleybmanly iT IS NOT LEGAL! If it can be proven he will be in deeper shit than Martha Stewart ,and that would be a good thing.
But the guy can do no wrong in his beloved flowerers eyes, raise the debt hell yeah as long as the wealthy benefit, alienate all your known allies sure why not, cuddle up to sworn advisories makes sense at least to him.
And declare anything that views him in a negative light as fake news, at least his followers will believe it who cares what the rest of the world thinks.
As long as there is plenty of low minimum wage jobs for the poor people all is well with the world.

seawulf575's avatar

If something like that were going on, I would think it is entirely unethical. But then, Congress made sure they were allowed to do it, so I’m not sure it is illegal. Insider Trading rules don’t apply to Congress on the basis that “they have to have access to all information needed to do their jobs correctly and sometimes that might be information that would impact their own holdings or the holdings of their family and friends.” The POTUS would likewise need access to all that information. There have been examples in the past where Representatives and Senators have actually voted on topics to help boost their gains in the markets. They have also rearranged their holdings to better benefit themselves with legislation is going to pass. I have always said we need to hold Congress to the laws that the rest of us are held to.
