If I initially have 4.1 L of gas at STP, what will the volume be if I increase the pressure to 3.5 atm, and the temperature drops to 200. K?

P1V1/T1=P2V2/T2

What is STP? Some people say 32 F, but that isn’t standard, that is cold.

And 14.7 PSI x 3.5 = about 50 psi. I woul guess the gas gets compact.

Don’t you have a formula to plug the numbers into?

Use the formula caravanfan provided for 4.1L of an ideal gas and solve for V2.

In chemistry, IUPAC changed the definition of standard temperature and pressure (STP) in 1982:

Until 1982, STP was defined as a temperature of 273.15 K (0 °C, 32 °F) and an absolute pressure of exactly 1 atm (101.325 kPa).
Since 1982, STP is defined as a temperature of 273.15 K (0 °C, 32 °F) and an absolute pressure of exactly 105 Pa (100 kPa, 1 bar).
