Where can I park downtown San Diego?

I work in a restaurant in the Gas Lamp district. I’ll have to go in at 9:00 AM til 5:00 PM. I don’t wanna pay for parking everyday or take the trolley. Any ideas?

Maybe there is a residential area not to far, where I can park and then ride my bike work?

Ask your co-workers or supervisors at that restaurant where you work. Also, ask some of your regular customers for suggestions.

There is a residential area not to far. A little north of down town in the area between 1st and 5th and Elm up to Ivy (and beyond) is all free residential parking. From there it is a quick 10-minute walk downtown. The only trouble is that students from the nearby law school fill it up pretty early so by 9am it may be hard to find a place. If you were willing to get there a little earlier it shouldn’t be too bad.

Here is a google map of the area:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=California+Western+School+of+Law,+San+Diego,+CA+92101+(The+Sofia+Hotel)&sll=32.721335,-117.162323&sspn=0.008304,0.019312&ie=UTF8&ll=32.726651,-117.162119&spn=0.004152,0.009656&t=h&z=17

Good luck!
