The south section of the city, where “Little Italy” is located, is fantastic. They have “Mom & Pop” grocery markets there, with tons of Provolone hanging from the rafters, and neat hand-lettered signs that read, “SHOPLIFTERS WILL BE KILLED!”
No trip to “Philly” is worth it, without visitng “JENO’S,” where the world-famous Philly Steak Sandwich was created.
On the tombstone of actor/comedian W. C Fields (1880–1946) is printed, “On the whole, I’d rather be in Philadelphia.”
