@Dutchess_III The ZERO candy bar, introduced in 1920, is a candy bar composed of a combination of caramel, peanut and almond nougat covered with a layer of white fudge (aka white chocolate fudge).
How much they paying you again?? Well, the O’Henry bar was created about the same time by a dude named Henry, who opened a famous candy store about 8 miles from here, Henry’s Candy. We pass it on our way to Pittsburgh. We’re going to plan a field trip there with the grandkids.
Man, so many types of candy are associated with specific things for me.
Jr. Mints and Hot Tamales = drive in movie or theater
Candy Ciggarettes = hot, dusty summer days making our way though the fields to go buy them at the Shop Ez. Same with candy necklaces. The candy itself was NASTY, but the concept was so cool.
