Will I get my money back from the internet service provider?

I overpaid $282 and I called the bank and they said for $50 they will put two traces on my overpayments totaling $275.
Will it work? The bank said it might take two months to process. My isp told me to do it, and that they can’t refund the money directly unless cancel my account.

That seems like weird information. I would keep calling the ISP a few times trying for different answers. If you overpaid your bill, they should be able to refund you that, and you shouldn’t need to pay the bank $50.

Rather than pay the bank the $50, can you not just let the balance ride & have your ISP take your future payments out of the excess funds that should be in your account??? Don’t know how many months that would be; but, it will probably be faster & cheaper than paying the bank to figure it out for you!!!

@LadyMarissa I was going to suggest the same thing. Call the ISP and ask them to make the overpayment a credit on your next bill or bills.

@janbb Too late. The bank already took the $50.

Well, that’s a shame but I think you will get your money back eventually.

It happened again in an alternate timeline. I have a new question. I don’t want to learn how to make a link to my question with an android phone. Just click on the overpayment tag in my topics in this question.
