Could you use the human brain's dream mechanics for mind control?

“Great Question” (1points)

As you all know, when you dream, no matter how bat-shit crazy and physics-defying and reality warping your dream is, you have no doubt in your mind that it is all real.
Could you induce, chemically or otherwise, this state while someone is awake, so no matter what you tell him, he will believe it?

Wasn’t that the research that led to acid? And wasn’t the control aspect eventually accomplished. You know it just hit me that the words to the song “Timothy Leary’s Dead” have come to pass!

Like a hypnotist?People see them for things like overeating and smoking.
As for dreams during a lucid dream, one can control things and are very aware.
Then there are those who can bullshit anyone and be believed.

Not sure having no doubt that everything’s real in a dream is always the case. I always become aware I was dreaming in maybe 1 out of 4 dreams.

@ragingloli YES – in fact it was MY mind control over YOU that caused you to write this question. And you didn’t even know it.

The subconscious is always in control. So you can’t make a (reasonably sane) person do anything the subconscious finds to be dangerous or unwanted. You might be able to do it with a massive injection of some kind of drug, but otherwise, all bets are off.

I usually have lucid dreams. Though chemically-induced, dream state may be different.
