Do you have a movie line up for Halloween?

“Great Question” (1points)

I have movies and special episodes of several shows to cover just about every holiday. I have enough Halloween viewing to fill the entire month. I’ll show you my list. What else would you add?
I am loose with my guidelines for Halloween. I include pretty much anything with ghosts, witches, zombies. I’m not big on gore, so I steer more toward a storyline than destruction, with a few exceptions.
The entire Harry Potter collection
Both seasons of Dead Like Me
The Roseanne Halloween collection
Dusk Til Dawn
Hocus Pocus
Practical Magic
The Ghost and Mrs Muir
High Spirits; the kooky medium cracks me up
Zombieland
Krazy Klowns From Outer Space
Poltergeist
Mummy
Some Goosebumps stories put to video
Goosebumps the movie
It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown because I keep hoping some year the great pumpkin will show up.

So, that is most of it.
What would you add?
Is there something you think is a Halloween must see?

No. But last year I bought a projector with the idea of projecting not-scary Halloween stuff on to a white sheet in one of the upstairs windows.

We usually watch the classic Universal collection.
This year we will be certain to include several Jeckel and Hyde films.

Hey, that reminds me, I have a bunch of Laurel and Hardy shows with all the basic old times monsters.

@Dutch, how did it work out? It sounds like great fun.

On Halloween night my tradition is to watch the original “Halloween”.

1. The new Zombieland film coming up soon I think.

2. The Innkeepers ( in Amazon Prime ) low-budget but a must watch low-budget very decent ghost flick.

3. The Others. Despite its big twist being out since 2001, the former husband and wife team of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman came up with one of the best ghost flicks ever made. Amenabar who directed did an excellent job.

4. The Fog. The first 10–15 minutes of the film is genius cinematic work. Wish I can go back in time and work with John Carpenter in a film shot in film.

5. The Witches. The only film with that many witches. And they’re actually scary as they terrify a young boy….which they turned into a _____? Angelica Huston’s performance as the diva head Witch was divinely….shooperb.

6. Warlock. Perfect for Halloween! Right now I can’t seem to recall the actors due to a hang-over but it was Steve Miner who directed and he was a more than competent filmmaker which is why this film is a must see for celluloid thrill seekers. I find this film truly satisfying. The Warlock, such an ass and what a creep. Warning….baby fat was used in the story.

7. Rosemary’s Baby. One word. Polanski.

8. Can’t recall the title of this ghost flick but it starred Aidan Quinn and Kate Beckinsale. Pretty good imo.

9. Devil’s Backbone. Not sure about the title but the great Guillermo Del Toro directed.

10. Season of the Witch. Again not sure about the title. A combination of a little medieval action and mystery suspense horror makes for perfect Halloween fare. With Nicholas Cage and Ron Perlman in the lead.

I guess that’s it for me. Enjoy.

No. I hate scary movies.

Thanks for the Q though. I had kind of forgotten Halloween is coming up.

I enjoy the campy Jason movies, Freddy Kruger, Christine, Carrie, Poltergeist, Lost Boys, etc…

In general I like to watch Halloween-themed episodes of shows I like, usually comedies. I’m not much into scary movies, though I do like psychological thrillers.

@Patti..I havent done it yet.
Google Window Wonderland Deluxe Indoor Projector with 6 Bonus Videos to see what it can do. I have a whole animated thing of Santa flying in his sled saved on my computer.

Amazon Prime just added the 1988 horror film “Waxwork.” Awesome Halloween flicker!
