The entire plant including the seeds is toxic and can cause problems even but rarely death. If they nosh on enough of the plant, that person will probably get nauseous and vomit. Ironically, Foxglove is in fact one of the earliest used plants to medicinally treat forms of heart conditions.

Nausea, vomiting. Also diarrhea, sometimes yellowed vision, ungodly headaches, cardiac arrhythmia, hallucinations, confusion, convulsions, are all potential sides effects. While death resulting from digitalis toxicity is uncommon, it does happen. Digoxin is a great drug for folks who need it, but its therapeutic window is narrow and its toxic potential is high. If you or someone you know has consumed the plant, even the seeds, don’t screw around – seek medical attention.
