Unique marketing strategies around the world?

If Japan uses anime in their marketing strategy (which is quite interesting and most people don’t know about it), are there any other countries that have specific things that only work in the marketing there?

Many insurance companies in the US use quirky or silly humor. There are other examples, I’m sure, but this comes to mind.

In Indonesia, ads are placed on becak becak.

In Amsterdam, sex workers advertise by sitting in the window,

In Britain, they use a lot of wit and sometimes double entendres in their advertising that we would be too Puritan to use here. Example: a billboard that said, “A Northern romantic, “Hey love, while you’re up can you get me a Burton’s beer?”
