Can you share a time when someone sent some conflicting body language cues, then got angry when you reacted to what you thought they were indicating?
One time I was in line at a fast food place. There were 3 people in line, and I was last. The first guy places his order, then leaves. The 2nd person, a woman, just stood there. She didn’t advance to the counter. She just stood there staring at the menu she’d been looking at for 5 minutes. She stood there so long that the clerk finally looked over her head and indicated he would take my order, since she obviously wasn’t ready to order.
Boy, did she get pissed! She snarled, “I was next!” and finally placed her order.
I wonder if she did it so she could have an excuse to get outraged? I don’t understand some people.
