https://www.wordreference.com/enfr/interviewee (person interviewed by journalist) personne interviewée as in already interviewed. But what about the interviewee who is yet to be to be interviewed?

For jobs it is candidat.

For Radio/TV it is intvite (accent aigue over the e).

@marinelife I didn’t specify but I’m looking for the form of the word interview though.

… I guess it’s just interviewé, and we have to go with the context.

Interlocutor

@flo why do you ask if you only want to argue with the respondents? You do this on almost every thread. In French, it is not a form of the word “interview” in the context you specified: “someone who is yet to be interviewed.”

@elbanditoroso That doesn’t look like a French noun to me. In any case, an interlocutor would be the person conducting the interview – not the subject.

@janbb Merriam Webster disagrees with you.

Definition of interlocutor
1: one who takes part in dialogue or conversation

In French:

interlocutrice(feminine)
interlocuteur(masculine)

I’m wrong then on the English but as I said, your noun was not the French. Shall we call it a draw?
