The hazards of galloping inflation.

I don’t live in the Bay Area but I am there several times a year. I would sy more homelessness, a greater disparity between the rich and the poor, out of sight housing costs, etc. But it is still a beautiful city.

A sketchingly brief cataloging of but a few of the hazards.

Oh – and don’t try to cross the Bay Bridge in the morning or late afternoon!

Or any other bridge, where the tolls now range from $6—$8.20.

I’m actually in the beast. But I’d say higher rents and increased gentrification.

I’ve heard how many artists left, which is a shame. I had a landlord who actually designed the building. She seemed like a polymath of some sort and lived in a boat house in Sausalito. Super interesting woman that made me wonder what kind of people used to live in the area.

I have noticed the increased homelessness for the brief period I was there, but I did have a cozy life in Potrero hill so I was a bit isolated from that, but I still love the city. I’m excited to go back soon :)

Out of curiosity, what do you guys do there? Do you have properties since before tech happened?

@janbb why should I avoid the bridge then?

Traffic is at a standstill then. If you take BART across the bay, you’ll be all right.
