Which search engine do you guys prefer? Google, Cuil, Yahoo, AOL, or any other search engine you know about. For looks, I like Cuil, but Google is definatly my #1 overall, because of how accurate the results USUALLY are.

I like Google since the results are usually very accurate. Cuil has more results but not very accurate

I mostly use Google. But I am slowly finding the results at Yahoo! better. I just wish Yahoo! would clean up the wreck of a UI they have developed.

Dogpile doesn’t really count, considering it’s not its own search engine, but different search engines piled into one. It uses OTHER search engine’s results. Not saying I don’t like it, but it’s not technically a search engine.

MrM: I guess you’re right, but I DO get search results from it!

Google, for familiarity and ease of use. plus with iGoogle, it’s where I can see my daily John Stewart and Albert Einstein quotes, and the best Shakesperean insults!

I spent 20 min looking for a news article on google, so I tried altavista and it was the first result….

Yeah I kinda figured most people would say Google, considering familiarity.

Yahoo, I find more accurate than Google.

Google, it’s simple and clean, no extras, they focus on search, if you want to use other stuff you can, but it’s not pushed into your face. I’ve just been reading an interesting book on Google actually. Fascinating stuff :)

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle. The only search engine I could ever need. It’s included with most browsers and is very handy.

Seems like an “oxymoron”..... Yes/No?

MrMontpetit's avatar

What I meant is that I can usually get what I’m looking for quickly. So the results are usually accurate? I don’t know, I’ve never been the best in writing.

Google because of results and iGoogle

There are other search engines other than Google?

Google. Largest database. Best results. Boom.
Does anyone have any reviews on Cuil?

wilhel1812's avatar

Cuil can’t find any of my websites. it might work in america, but try searching for russemedia in cuil and google
well, it kinda sucks….

I love Google but sometimes I’ll switch over to use Creative Commons search for materials that are CC licensed.

I use Goodsearch because they donate money to my favorite charity with every search I make.
