Can you imagine a life so brutal, so full or hardships, that dying was a cause for celebration?

“Great Question” (1points)

I was thinking about slavery, and how they were always so joyous at funerals, singing and dancing and praising God because their loved one was free and in a better place.
That strikes me as unbelievably sad.

Everyone would feel that way if they lived long enough.

I can imagine. I’ve imagined it almost my whole life. Not that I’ve lived a very hard life, but I’m very aware of people who were tortured in life.

I keep thinking about those three little girls that were kidnapped and held for over 10 years in that lunatics basement. I don’t believe I would’ve been that brave to have lived through all that he put them through. Yet they escaped and are continuing to live their life.
