“Great Question” (1points)

I would like to ask you two questions, concerning (your) love (for your partner).
If you are single you can also answer (in case you have ever been in a relationship, or else, in a hypothetical one).

Part two of the question comes, let’s say, after a day.
In this same thread (no idea if this will work, but we’ll see).

Question one:
How much do you love your spouse/life partner/husband/wife/boy-/girlfriend, and what would be the biggest sacrifice you’d make for them?

In question number two I will ask you something that might, for some, maybe, question the lengths you’d go for them….

But that’s for tomorrow.
First, number one.
How much you love them?!

If one doesn’t know what real love is and how deep it can be, the question is unanswerable.

I made my sacrifice.

I loved my first husband, and never lost hope we’d someday reunite. When my tubal pregnancy resulted in damage to an extent the surgeon said he didn’t believe I would ever be able to conceive, it was heartbreak for us both. The only reason he couldn’t have children was because I couldn’t.
When we met, he was like a lab puppy, feet too big, all pep, always ready to play, loyal, and unconditionally loving.
I saw the life go out of his eyes.
He never blamed me, and getting rid of him was very difficult. It ripped my heart irreparably, but I couldn’t bear to see him dying from the inside out.
Eventually he remarried. I heard from his parents occasionally. He did have a batch of kids. It was his daughter’s ex bf who shot him in the chest, and took him away from us all, too soon.
He was trying to protect her. He died, she didn’t. That’s just how he’d want it, and no more than I would be willing to do for him.

I could never love like that again.
