@RedDeerGuy1 How old are you now?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@ARE_you_kidding_me It’s not all about me at this time. I want to lurk and see the answers. I want to be a research psychologist in the next 15 or so years. Or if I don’t pass my courses then I would like to make multiple choice quizzes online, for fun or profit.

There are no good careers for a “generalist”. If you want the money you’ve got to have something to offer that can’t be offered by everyone else out there.

@Darth_Algar What about hobbies then?

Darth_Algar's avatar

Uhh, huh? If you want a hobby then pick a hobby.

@Darth_Algar Fluther is my hobby. I am talking for other people not just me. My schedule is packed for now.

The only work a generalist can do to make money are things that nobody else wants to do like cleaning public bathrooms or washing dishes at a restaurant. If you get creative with that sort of thing and find a niche to make real money you are no longer a generalist

Assembly line worker.
Lawn mower.
Paper route.
Stock clerk.

Apart from the first one I haven’t done the latter three, so I can’t be sure about them.

I’m sorry, but I really don’t understand your question about hobbies.

@RedDeerGuy1 , What courses are you taking? Where are you taking them? Did you get good scores on the tests you were taking?

Making multiple choice tests is not a career. Anyone who is knowledgeable in a particular field can use an app for creating tests. The trick is to first become knowledgeable.
