@Caravanfan Ok. What is the other mode of transportation that’s called the same thing?

The Segway PT is a two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transporter manufactured by Segway Inc. It was invented by Dean Kamen and brought to market in 2001. HT is an initialism for “human transporter” and PT for “personal transporter”. Wikipedia

As far as I’ve heard, no one else but Segway makes ‘two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transporter’. As @Tropical_Willie mentioned, Dean Kamen invented it and started the Segway company to make them.
