The existence of extraterrestrial civilizations is revealed way before seasons 10 and 11. It’s more or less confirmed near the end of season 2, and it is undeniably explicit by the end of season 5.

@SavoirFaire: Those who follow closely “The X-Files” know the difference beeen the first 9 seasons and the last two (it’s enough to consider that even Gillian Anderson (an abductee) didn’t want to be shot in this new background).

Oh, I didn’t even realize there were Seasons 10 and 11. Or, I can neither confirm nor deny having known about them. I may have been told circa 2016, and then promptly forgot, having not been very interested in Season 9, or the second film. I’ve seen most of Seasons 1–8 twice, I think.

@luigirovatti I am familiar with all 11 seasons of the show. Despite their differences, the last two seasons are meant to be a continuation of the first nine. Are you perhaps trying to ask a different question than the one you wrote?

@SavoirFaire: I don’t know about a “continuation”, I mean, in the first nine seasons there’s the Aliens conspiracy, 2012, supersoldiers, shadow government, black oil, etc., while in the last two there’s merely the mention of organic androids and the will to exterminate all Earth’s population, yes, but by men. I mean, I focalised on this last two seasons because everything gets subverted there.
