Do people realize how irresponsible they're being by passing "facts" about the virus around, as though they really ARE facts....when they arent?

I’ve tried to say very little about the virus. I feel like every time someone mentions it, it fans the flames of panic unnecessarily.
However, I’m reading stuff that comes across my feed.

A former high school class mate said, “I read where the CDC says sunlight kills the virus.” Not only is that stupid on so many levels, it’s not true. But they say it with authority and cite the highest authority, the CDC, as “proof.” The virus is doing its damage in the body where the sun don’t shine!

Also, “Heat kills the virus.” Well, no shit. High enough temps will kill anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if hospitals don’t start seeing patients who tried to wash their hands in boiling water, it’s gotten so stupid.

They are being so irresponsible and stupid. It’s dangerous and it’s driving me a little mad.
