Oh boy, so what do we panic about next?

“Great Question” (3points)

Maybe we should stock up on KY jelly, after all if we are going to quarantine you want things to glide smoothly.
Maybe air fresheners, stuck inside we might need a sniff of clean scent?
Come on people what is the next panic item?

Prescription drugs and lotion/hand creams.

Most people don’t realize the impact this will have on their prescription meds.

All the hand washing and sanitizing is going to be rough on hands.

We need to have a plan to bail out the bookies and sports gambling industry.

Think about all the sports that aren’t being played for the next couple of months:

- NHL Hockey
– NBA Basketball
– All the college basketball regional tournaments and then, of course, the Final Four
– NASCAR
– beginning of the baseball season
– Professional Bull Riding

and so on and so forth.

Bookies are losing a ton of business.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Well @elbanditoroso their more of big business so I would think the Republican government will look after them , it’s only the little guy they don’t give a shit about.

Has there been a big run on cat and dog food in the stores yet? Maybe that’s next.

johnpowell's avatar

Good call. The bookies loosing out is the silver-lining.

I am sure they are already prepping sites to bet on how many deaths in Manchester. Since they are just the worst people.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Cat and dog food is way down up here in places like Wal-mart and costco @gondwanalon but they still have it on the shelves.

The sudden failure and collapse of the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets. (My scenario.)
The disappearance of bees and other pollinating insects. (Happening now.)
The loss of all edible fish in the oceans that’s predicted to occur in 50 years.

I strongly suggest that all people do what I have already done so as to save time: Place your head firmly between your thighs and kiss your ass goodbye.

The hookers will starve! The mega churches must wither. Not everything will stay in Vegas.

SergeantQueen's avatar

How long will we be out of toilet paper? Let’s panic about that

SQUEEKY2's avatar

I agree @SergeantQueen the TP shortage that is the real problem.

This is a perfect question for me because I am a master at panicking and being anxious.
When will college kids get to go back on campus? I have friends with shitty home lives who deliberately chose to live on campus to escape that.

Some of my friends are panicking about Marshal law being put in place, and a total take over.

I know a couple of women wanting to make sure they have their gun and ammo at hand. Raping and pillaging.

At my supermarket they now are keeping baby formula at customer service under lock and key. There was a huge theft of it last week.

Doctors choosing who to save because the hospital doesn’t have enough respirators or personnel.

Children becoming very bored, lonely, or afraid.

Someone said medication above, and if you take daily medication, I don’t understand not already having addressed that. I have a month of medication right now (when I first starting buying extra food and TP I had 6 weeks) but I tried to get my meds early three days ago to have more, and it seems there has not been an order for early refills to be covered by insurance like when we have a hurricane coming, and I just don’t understand it. Someone is asleep at the switch. Some insurance companies have taken this step already without any sort of government order. Most people where I live are filling their scripts if they can. The pharmacist I spoke to said they were slammed.

OTC cough medicine, fever reducers. I guess some people will panic about vitamin C, zinc, and that airborne stuff (I don’t take any of those ).

I have a new worry

JLeslie's avatar

@SergeantQueen The guns or the raping and pillaging?

SergeantQueen's avatar

I can use a gun. Not confidently and probably not in a situation that would call for it, I’d be more concerned about getting hurt again.
I can’t do a push-up and have no upper body strength so who knows

@gondwanalon Yes. I work in grocery. Pet food is being depleted.

Everything is being depleted.

This may be a joke to some but it isn’t funny. Our store has a week’s supply for now. Who knows what’s to come.

Be patient and let the hourly workers supply the shit you demand. We get coughed on while serving you.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Sorry @Patty_Melt your You Tube video isn’t available here in Canada.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Shoot. It is funny. I won’t try to repeat any of it because the timing and all that makes it good.
