That hasn’t ever happened to me, and unfortunately, it probably never will.
A child is easily fooled by trick photography and clever CG or “stop motion” animation, and once the child gets old enough to understand just how the visual effects are accomplished, the production loses most of it’s “magic.”
I remember that when I first watched Peter Pan, I was just enthralled and fascinated with Mary Martin flying all over the place, but as I got older, I could see the wires that lifted her above the sound stage, and my “innocence” was gone, forever.
