Lemon.
It seems to have more uses than a lime and it’s a prettier color.
It can also kick a lime’s ass.

I’m a lime kinda-guy ! Usually have a bag of lime on hand.

Lime.
I suppose it’s just a personal preference.

I don’t like either.
They make my eyes water & my mouth pout.
Rather like a Bette Davis portrait.

Lime all day and twice on Sunday!

I’ll take both and even grapefruit juice. With the coming warm weather, we’ll be guzzling lemonade, limeaid & occasional grapefruitade by the gallon—always over lots of ice.

Limes make Mexican food so much better!

I use both. My husband doesn’t like lemon as much, so mostly I keep lines in the house, but I find lime to be more fragile. You have to use it faster once cut. Lime is less hassle because no pits.

Lime on Mexican dishes, but I prefer lemon in tuna salad and also for a dressing on a regular green salad. I’m not extremely picky about it though.

Lemon for desserts.

Lime, but lemon is a close second. Jack Lemmon is third.

Lime, but lemon is more useful for cooking.

I think it’s the fact that lemon is so much more familiar that lime seems more exciting. It’s that thing about “after you’ve been having steak for a long time, you acquire an inexplicable craving for beans.”

Just made a lemon cake.

@lucillelucillelucille Since when did limes have bottoms?

Glambarber's avatar

Lemon, I suppose. I get more lemon biscuits and cakes than lime ones, although I’ve had meringue pie in both.

I would hypothesize, that anything made with lemons, could be made, with limes…
