Can the Zango media playing software harm my computer?

I was getting ready to watch a video online and a box popped up saying that I needed to download “Zango” to watch said video. This box has popped up for me a lot on streaming sites. I just want to know if it’s legit and my computer will be safe downloading it. Thanks.

I would not download it.

A quick google seems to suggest it has a bad reputation as spyware/adware.

Yeah, DON’T download it.
I had downloaded it on accident, and it pretty much ended up being a virus for me that screwed my computer up so badly.

So, all in all, don’t download it.
