@Tropical_Willie, I remember them too. I was determined not to be “like a girl,” so I toughed it out. Wasn’t too bad. Some kids cried. My school in Massachusetts was part of a blind field test, so some of us got the vaccine and some got “water.”

I always get my flu shots, shingles shots, and anything else they want to immunize me for. I remember having measles, mumps, and chicken pox, all three, as a kid and am very glad they’re no longer such a threat, except to people who are getting wrong information.

I’ve had regular allergy shots for the past 20+ years. They changed my life. I’m a believer.

I had only had the flu once and it was slight.

@Dutchess_lll: I had Guillain Barre Syndrome 12 years ago, which is an autoimmune disease. There was an outbreak of Guillain Barre in the 1970’s (it’s a rare disease so an outbreak is even more rare) and it was found that the outbreak was triggered by the preservative in the Swine Flu vaccine. So the neurologist told me no more vaccines.

Guillain Barre is like Multiple Sclerosis, where you can’t walk or stand, and some people die from it. I spent a month in the hospital.

I think it would be funny if it turns out that hydroxychloraquine is the best choice, so they call it by another name because people don’t want to trust our President on that.
The thing is, they keep calling it a virus, but I don’t trust that. Since when do viruses behave differently in men from women, children from adults, elderly from youth?
A weak person of thirty is affected about the same as a strong person of thirty, but a strong elderly person is different from both. This is behaving more like a poison, actually, not even that. It seems to act more with DNA than anything else.
To get a vaccine is a hopeful thought. Vaccines of a variety would have to be developed.

It hasn’t been proven yet, but it hasn’t been disproven either. It has the potential to be dangerous, if poorly prescribed.
It is also used for Lupus, which I have already pointed out in another thread was the original reason it was considered. It was noticed that positive cases were found in much lower numbers of people who have lupus, and those who did get it had less severe symptoms. That was how it started, not Trump. Trump got hopeful about it because doctors were excited and hopeful.
Any drug can be dangerous if badly prescribed. They are running into the same issue with other drugs. The virus (if that is even what it is) is not consistent in symptoms, or treatments.
