Debate with close friends and loved ones. Dialogue when getting to know someone or something new. Discourse, receiving or giving, mostly in a professional/expert setting. Diatribe from others because it allows me to exercise patience, quiet observation, reserve and compassion. Was it Mark Twain who said, “Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.”?

Whatever works. Fishing boats, gunboats, cruise ships, canoes. They all have their purposes

Dialogue and discourse favorite.
Debate , at times have debated and or watched debates to understand opposing views.

Not one to Diatribe….do not like forceful arguments and or confrontations that could escalate.

( have seen enough of this in my lifetime and choose never to get involved in this type.)
