I don’t have an iPhone as I prefer Android. After you asked this Q, I did a bit of research to see what is involved. It says that Google added it to the last update; however, you also have to DL another app in order for it to work. I’m funny about adding apps willy nilly;so at this point, I plan on passing. I may change my mind after hearing more about it being used by the general population

However, I do highly recommend that people do use it. The ONLY reason I am not is because of my occupational exposure. I see patients, but I wear proper PPE.

I’ve read a lot about it. It comes with decentralized data storage and data protection experts are now (after much criticism, debate, and development) quite happy with the result. I’m happy to do this small thing to help, and it did already give me some peace of mind at the grocery store today. If I develop symptoms, at least I have a way to let people know.

@Caravanfan Our app is called “Corona Warn App”, but I’m pretty sure it will only work in Germany. I actually just read up on the situation in the United States, and rather than using a single national app it looks like there’s a number of different ones. Some states have committed to cooperating with Google and Apple, which is how it works over here too.

I hope you’ll have access to a safe and effective app soon. This approach can only work if a high number of the population joins in, but I understand anyone who has reservations about their privacy.

Looks like California is not participating. Oh well.

^^^ If you’re an android user, go to Google Play and do a search for “covid”. Every state has their own version, so yours will be different from mine. I think only North and South Dakota have the same app. I bet the nurses at your hospital know exactly which app you need
