Do words ever look "scary" to you?

I was doing a role-play with my friend online and he typed the word “Dies” and the way the word looked kinda creeped me out.

I always thought mnemonic looked a bit creepy, but I can’t remember why.

@seawulf575 Probably because it has some of the same spelling as demonic.

Im not a fan of words beginning with ‘K’. I see it as an evil letter.

For example, if there’s a name that can be spelled with either a K or a C, I’d always chose the C version.

No I don’t personally but some people suffer from a fear of words. This is a well documented phobia.

Logophobia is the technical name for fear of words but there are two names for the phobia of fearing long words. These are:

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia and Sesquipedalophobia.

Very ironic really because Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is one of the longest words in the dictionary and its meaning is a fear of long words.
