What will happen to the NRA?

“Great Question” (3points)

Seemingly broke and under major threat for decades of felonious activity. Will the institution survive? What will happen to gun advocacy if the NRA folds? If it doesn’t?

The NRA may go the way of the dinosaurs but guns will live on! (Hallelujah!)

There are other 2nd Amendment rights groups out there. The NRA is neither the only nor the best. They are merely the most well known and probably the biggest. If they disappear, someone else will fill the void.

Yes! People interested in gun rights should check out the Socialist Rifle Association (SRA).

@hmmmmmm There are others that are a little more widely known, but I will check out the SRA to see what they are all about.

If the NRA had stuck to their guns (pun intended) they would have been fine, I might have supported them.

Where they got into trouble, 25–30 years ago – was getting into politics instead of keeping to their mission.

Politics ruins everything.

Bloated and blind. Another will rise up in its place.

I agree that they’re probably cooked, but can another group really fill the void? NRA has a long history, and has controlled the gun conversation for a long time, but their power is in their membership, and their line that all monies received go to gun education. Will people be as willing to trust after learning how they were robbed and lied to and criminally manipulated for decades?

The same politicians who have taken million$ from the NRA and its associates will skip the middleman(NRA) and get funding straight from Russia.

okkkk. That would be flagrantly illegal, and the FEC would be all over their ass. @dabbler

You’re right, probably the new middleman will be a PAC or committee.
