My dog is very sick?

“Great Question” (1points)

My dog has been feeling off for the past week and a half, she was throwing up in the beginning, but it has happened before, mainly if she over eats, so we weren’t too concerned. But then the vomiting stopped and she seemed to get worse. she’s weak, she doesn’t eat or eats very little and immediately goes for the toilet and even then doesn’t do much, it’s small almost diarrhea like. And today we noticed that she started to limp a bit. I should mention that she’s very aggressive towards new people so that’s why we put off taking her to the vet for so long. She has had all of her shots done and as much as we tried to get her to take necessary pills, she would spit them right back out even though we tried disguising them, I don’t know what to do, what could it be and is it something serious as i think it is?

That sounds extremely dangerous. You do need a vet, as you said, and I don’t think pills will be enough. I’m guessing she might need IV fluids at this point. And she definitely needs an actual diagnosis.

There are ways to handle aggressive dogs safely. She might need to be muzzled or crated. She might need a tranquilizer to allow handling. Call local vets and ask how they treat aggressive dogs. Pick the one who has an actual plan and doesn’t use any buzzwords such as “alpha”.

Start making calls now. Good luck, and speedy recovery to your dog.

Do you have a muzzle? Put it on her and take her to the vet. Barring that, put her in a crate, and take her that way.

The dog may be aggressive towards new people, but veterinarians know how to handle that. Get her to a vet ASAP.

She may have a bone stuck in her throat or stomach. See a vet PRONTO!

Nobody here can diagnose her over the internet. Take her to a vet pronto.

We booked an appointment way before i even posted, i was just very worried and restless. We took her to the vet the same day. I would also like to clarify that she wasn’t sick for a week and a half, she threw up week and a half ago but seemed to be completely fine until two days ago when she just started to eat less. We took her to the vet as soon as she stopped eating and started to limp

So what did the vet say, @mariami0118?

Get her to the vet! She won’t be the first aggressive dog that the vet has ever seen. Vets are used to working with aggressive animals and they seldom get bitten
