What percentage of the population needs to be vaccinated in order to get herd immunity?
I realize the calculations for herd immunity are daunting. For instance, see

That is why we have experts like Fauci to help guide us.
Yet Fauci seems to base his numbers on what the population is ready to hear:
“Fauci, who was appointed director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in 1984, said in the interview that he had become more willing to reveal his beliefs as polls show Americans were becoming somewhat less skeptical about the new vaccines. ” See
In other words Fauci would not give you what he really believed until you were more ready to believe his numbers!
What do you think the real number is given the fact that the estimated efficacy of both approved vaccines is about 95%?
