@honeybun35 No idea, since I don’t know what your personal situation is. It’s natural for people to have some jerking, as your brain is sometimes still shutting down, but mine was not normal and was especially worse when triggered with stress.
When waking up from a deep sleep, I would often jerk and shudder for about five to ten minutes. One time I threw rice all over the living room, after a nap before dinner time. If yours isn’t severe but still interferes with your sleep, I’d definately get a sleep study done if your insurance will cover it. Just don’t let your doc prescribe xanax or something for sleep if you don’t get the sleep study done, since those affect your neurological system.
Maybe try the melatonin and see if it helps since it’s natural and cheap?
