Are chat rooms here really working - Or are they just some kind of inside joke among moderators?

@JLoon On edit, I’ve heard of worse “disasters” than a malfunctioning chat room. Trump for instance.

They used to be more active than they are now that there are so many fewer of us. Sometimes still get used; although I think there are times that people get stuck in them and can’t get out.

[Mod says] Thanks for letting us know. We’re experiencing some general issues at the moment, and the problem with the chatrooms has been added to the bug report. These glitches are capricious, so what’s broken for you may work perfectly for others (including mods).

Our sole programmer (Ben) has been alerted and will fix things as soon as possible.

If you look at the upper-right corner of this page, you should see a list titled “Users Chatting”.

You’re the third from the top, just below longgone. Therefore, you’re already in and so there’s no need to transmogrify me into a delicious drink. ;-p

@Incoherency – (Sighs)...but not down here in the cheap seats.

Using my mobile what I see up in that corner is a Papa Jelly icon. Maybe someday I’ll be good enough for chat – But not tonight :(
