Why is my "smart"(ass?) phone SO badly designed, that it won't display the number of the caller while I'm talking to them?
THEY HAD ONE JOB!
It’s supposed to mainly be a phone, right?
The machine has absolutely ridiculously high computing and display capabilities, and yet, the screen representing the phone call I’m having the moment (at least, the one that lets me type numbers to respond to automated menus), does not provide any way to see what phone number I’m being called by at that time?
Why?
How is that level of dysfunction even possible?
Are other people really SO INCAPABLE of dealing with complexity, that UI designers are thinking they need to dumb down the information presented?
