I remember a line from the old TV series “Simon & Simon,” where the P.I. brothers’ cop friend Downtown Brown set them up for some kind of trap in order to break a case. One of the brothers shouted at him, “You betrayed us!” And Brown answered, “If you can’t betray your friends, who can you betray?”
If I were Mike Pence, I would not have said a thing to him. I would know he never listened. And I would not have wanted to hear his lying voice ever again. But I would no longer be owned by him, in any way, not ever, no matter what.
