Some politicians are worse than others and only by voting in the least worst at every election can progress be made through a process of natural selection. Once a sense of decency has been re established then we can begin talking politics again.
They’re all symptoms of the same disease – and it’s far worse than COVID.
The only cure is to defund the the system that rewards these third-rate con artists, and throw out the corrupt laws they’ve put in place to serve themselves.

I don’t understand it, but it seems to me that there is just an overall decline in the quality of our politicians. For me, Trump was without question the culmination of this trend in American politics, as though it’s all a contest on “how low can you go”. In the end, I despair that I am so helpless in watching the scum rise to the top, but I’ll be damned if I let anyone get away with passing it off as cream.
I think the politicians lie more than they state conspiracy theories. They allow conspiracy theories to proliferate by not speaking out against them. It’s a lie by omission in a sense.
