How do I get rid of Dolly (Read details)

“Great Question” (1points)

Dolly Parton’s infomercial on the vaccine is stuck on my Facebook feed and I cannot get it off for love or money. Clicking on the three dots on the upper right does nothing. Blocking Vanderbilt Health from my feed does nothing.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions that might work? I love Dolly and don’t want to get rid of her permanently, just away from my feed.

There is a report to admin button to click onto.

Thanks, but that’s the problem. The click on buttons don’t work on that post. Oh well – it’s a petty problem. Eventually she’ll move down the feed.

Just found something from my Social Fixer extension and was able to click on it and mark it as Read. Yay!

@janbb Let me know if you succeed, I have some snooty whiskey sellers that have been all up in my jammies for about 8 months or so.

@canidmajor Well, I did but as I said, it was by using an add-on called Social Fixer that let me mark it as read. The hide button was not working at all.

@janbb Maybe Dolly could go off somewhere with the snooty whiskey and leave us alone.

Did you try to go on her Facebook page and unfriend her. You may have signed up on her Facebook page and then set your friend’s settings to always show up on your feed. Or whatever site she keeps showing up in. Go to their home page and up on top you should see Unfollow and do that first.

@Pandora Good thoughts but I have not friended her. The post is from Vanderbilt Health which I also do not follow (I think it is about vaccination) and I blocked them but she came back. I guess it is a PSA.

Here is a link to stop ads repeating on Facebook,

Thanks. Yup – tried them and they usually have worked on other ads but not on this one.

Now I just blocked Dolly, who wasn’t even a friend. We’ll see if that works.

@canidmajor Yeah – and the sad thing is I like Dolly and don’t want to hurt her feelings but enough is too much!

@janbb They don’t have to be a friend to be followed. At some point maybe you may have liked some of their stuff and hit followed. Maybe even by accident or trying to follow a thread that you wanted to see at a later time. I actually like Shakira and I thought if I followed her maybe I could see new releases. Well, I play youtube music a lot and one time I hit followed and shared it on Facebook. Well at first I was okay with getting her videos but it’s always the same ones. Probably the one I shared from Youtube. So I went Shakira’s home page and sure enough, it says I’m following her. So I unfollowed and that has been enough to stop her videos from always popping up in my feed. Now I have another video. So I figure it may be from Youtube. It’s also possible that I originally followed her off of Facebook and just forgot.
