Were all the people that experienced 'near deaths' heading for heaven?

“Great Question” (4points)

Or does hell also have a light at the end of the tunnel?

Or do the people who were heading to hell, but returned just in time, after their near death experience, just kept their mouth shut and didn’t make their story public (as to not be seen by their family and loved ones, as a sinner?
I mean, all the stories, as far as I have heard or read about them, were people thinking they went to heaven, or even saw Peter or Jesus.
And I have the idea that the likelihood of all of them being saints is pretty small, considering that there are a lot of assholes out there (me included).

I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and I woke up in spring 2000. Over and over again. No heaven no hell. Just endless do overs.

What if the “the light at the end of the tunnel” is just the exit of god’s divine anus, and the living are just the remnants of whatever beings god has consumed and digested, with “death” merely being the final release into freedom after being trapped for decades in Jehova’s shit tunnel?

@ragingloli So we might be actual holy shit?

@RedDeerGuy1
The holiest of shits.

But seriously, people who have “near death experiences” see imagery derived from the belief system they were raised in. Christians see christian imagery, muslims see muslim scenery, and hindus see glimpses of the hinduist afterlife.
It is just a chemically affected brain going haywire.

GA @ragingloli
Maybe it is simply the effect of our sensors shutting down.

@ragingloli Either that or all religions are equally valid. :)

Or all religions are just made up to explain things and to control (and shame) women.

If there really was a heaven and a hell why not get a hospital first to kill you and then resuscitate you so you can figure out where you are going. Then you could make an informed decision on whether your behaviour needs to change.

I know where the food is better: (Old joke)

Mother Teresa dies and goes to heaven. God greets her at the Heaven’s gate.
”Are you hungry, Mother Teresa?” says God.
“I could eat,” she replies.
So God opens a can of tuna and reaches for a chunk of rye bread and they share it.
While eating this humble meal, Mother Teresa looks down into hell and sees the inhabitants devouring huge steaks, lobsters, pheasants, pastries and wines. Curious, but deeply trusting, she remains quiet.

The next day God again invites her to join him for a meal.
Again, it is tuna and rye bread.
Once again, Mother Teresa can see the denizens of hell enjoying caviar, champagne, lamb, truffles and chocolates.
Still she says nothing.

The following day, mealtime arrives and another can of tuna is opened.
She can’t contain herself any longer. Meekly, she says: “God, I am grateful to be in heaven with You as a reward for the pious, obedient life I led. But here in heaven all I get to eat is tuna and a piece of rye bread, and in the other place they eat like emperors and kings! I just don’t understand.”
God sighs. “To be honest, for just two people, it’s simply too much trouble to cook.”

People still believe in heaven and hell? Reeeally?!

@LuckyGuy
Too bad that the woman was a horrible person, who intentionally let people under her “care” suffer in agony, while she herself enjoyed top of the line medical care.

That is indeed a great question. Why do you suppose it is that all of the near death or return from death experiences are always about overwhelming peace and glowing contentment——never torment and desolation?

When the brain is starved, even momentarily, for blood, nourishment, and oxygen, any (even fleeting) thought is possible.

What if hell doesn’t allow its mistakes a way back?

Inspired_2write's avatar

Notice its “Near Death”..so they are not dead.

These experiences are for people to wake up to wrongdoings in order to correct themselves to live a moral ,compassionate life by giving them a glimpse of the afterlife.

It does not matter the reasoning as to the how that message is given .

Whether a logical explanation, physical, or Spiritual reason, doesn’t matter as long as one learns to become a better person.
