I have a gas grill that we use almost daily in the summer. The side burner should burn with a blue, almost invisible flame. It’s not. The flame is yellow, and deposits black soot on the bottom and sides of any pots or pans I use. This indicates to me that the flame is not as hot as it should be. Can the burner be adjusted, or is it a regulator issue? Are these regulators generic, or are they specific to make, model and/or fuel type?
