General Question

I'm looking for a book trilogy/saga/series (NOT a standalone) in which a group of people are cut off from the world and each of them starts dying.

“Great Question” (1points)

There are 2 variants to this:

1) A game with all the people competing with a battle to the death. With rules and all.

2) Each of them must unmask a killer with every character having dark secrets, and/or a dark agenda.

In short, battle royale and/or an island with liars style. This is very important to me, so any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Did you read “The Hunger Games”? It doesn’t fit all your criteria but it is a series that comes fairly close.

You could also try The Enders series by Orson Scott Card.

You’re another one that I would pay a ridiculous amount to sit across from for an extended conversation. Would you give us some incentive and explain why your oddball questions are always so “very important” to you? What is it you do with the reams of arcane information?

@stanleybmanly: I live in Italy. If you want, I’ll PM the address.

@stanleybmanly: Dark agendas are always useful to keep the suspense afloat. Also, I get bored very easily after reading. The above characteristics help. Really, you couldn’t find anything more exciting than this. To heck with morality, ethics, philosphy, and politics, most of all. As for what I do with this “arcane” information, I analyze it from every possible and conceivable angle, and I treasure it in my mind. This way, I have fun. Also, as you quite easily could have guessed, style matters. The phrasing of the words must NOT bore me. I’m a good judge of character, or, in this case, of books.

@stanleybmanly: At any rate, if you want, we can talk to the chatroom. Just name the time and I’ll be there.

I have some time now. On my way! Have to attempt to change the format from mobile.

What happened to you?

@stanleybmanly. I said name the time. I’m not always on Fluther, so, set a time a day or two in advance.
