Can you recommend an all-in one color printer/scanner for home office use?

That is compatible with an Intel desktop computer? Preferably under $500? That is a photocopier and scanner that hooks up to Windows 10?

I have a Canon Pixma printer/scanner that prints excellent photos in addition to regular color printing. And it has a built in scanner. I have had it for about ten years, so the drivers are easily updated.

The software comes with built in OCR recognition.

New models are compatible with Windows 10. And fully loaded with all the bells and whistles you can get them for $150 – $175 US.

I also have a Canon. I’ve had it for at least 7 years. I’m sure it was in the 100.00 range. It prints pictures and I’ve never had any issues with it.

Is this a good purchase from Amazon?

Can’t see it because it’s in a different country.

@chyna Canon PIXMA MX532 Wireless All-in-One Business Inkjet Printer with Scanner, Copier, Fax and Auto Document Feeder $200.

@RedDeerGuy1 You really don’t need the fax, and you can get one that connects via USB rather than wireless. And unless you do a shitload of document copying, you don’t need the document feeder.

I recently got an Epson Ecotank for 244€. Printer+scanner.
And it does not use ink cartridges, but refillable built in tanks, so you can easily use third party ink.

How many pages a month ?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Tropical_Willie I don’t know. Is a gift for my mom. She does genealogy. I will ask her.

I also have a Canon Pixma MG2522. I don’t use it very frequently – a few times a month, but it works when I want it to, and I love that it has a scanner.

My back-up unit is a HP OfficeJet Pro 8025.

@RedDeerGuy1 That Canon Pixma MG 2522 would be a good choice.
