What is the difference between these two sentences?
1 I saw him painting. – is clear.
What does this mean?
2 I saw that he was painting.
At first glance 2 means the same as 1.
But “I heard him sing.” and “I heard that he sang.” mean different things.
What do you think of 2? What does it mean?
