No! You need hot water to poor grease down the drain so it doesn’t harden and clog your pipes or save up jars that you get from the store and put your grease in there and through it in the trash.

Fat poured down the toilet solidifies and blocks the drainage system. Look up “fatberg” in Google.

During cool weather my grease and oils go in the wood burning stove where I effectively convert them into heat. In the summer they go in the fire pit and become fire starters for camp fires.

Hot water poured down the toilet could melt the wax seal between toilet and floor. Don’t do it!

@chyna Bacon grease is the best! Smear it on newspaper, discarded mail, yard waste stick or twigs and it burns great!
Actually my wood burning stove in the house does not release any odors inside. And once it comes up to the temperature sufficient to light off the reburner there is no smoke or odor outside either. That usually takes about 5 minutes.

And it is all free!

Put the grease in the refrigerator and when it hardens scrape it into the garbage.
