Is it just me or did this question break Fluther?

“Great Question” (3points)

Right now if you go to the General section, you will see there is a question in a foreign language. Clicking on it will result in an error.

Do you experience the same thing?

Language was Hindi & question has been deleted – But if you clicked to open I suggest you check your firewall & run a scan on your device.

That kind of link behavior is usually a sign of a hacker/malware attempt.

@JLoon I couldn’t even open the question on Fluther :P

Wait, are you suggesting that someone can send mailware through a Fluther question alone?

@Mimishu1995 – This may be an issue mods could address in more detail. I don’t know if the Hindi post was malware. I didn’t click on it because it looked suspicious.

But what I do know is that almost anything sent via the web can be engineered as a bot link. And in the case of highly sophisticated spyware programs like Pegasus, you don’t even need to click on it to be infected.

None of this means you or anyone else here has been hacked through this post. But I’m careful, and I think everyone else should be too.

@JLoon thank you. It’s late so I’m doing a scan tomorrow. I would like a mod to comment on this too.
