Not going to help.
It’s not as if there is/was a shortage of real life stories from millions of (other) women.
That could have made a difference, but didn’t (for the hardliners).

In the long run, ultimately, I expect it will probably help, just because it’s an example of normalizing it, and being willing to speak openly about it. In the long run, I think that speaking openly is the way to eventually dispel the effect that conservative reactionaries rely on, of other people acting like their views (on abortion, homosexuality, liberalism, non-Christianity, foreign things, non-white people, art, etc) have some level of public acceptance, or normality, and that the rest of us for some reason shouldn’t just speak directly and outright that abortion is NOT murder and is a perfectly acceptable personal choice that women end up making regularly, and that should no one should attempt to shame or made legal. (And neither should homosexuality, liberalism, non-Christianity, etc…)

In the short term, backwards scumbags will of course do their best to capitalize on whatever mileage they can get with their backward base about such an example of speech. But it’s not like that’s really getting them anywhere. The same people are already calling all the Democrats radical Marxists, etc… I see no point in trying to take their nonsense into consideration by avoiding subjects that trigger their BS.

I don’t think so. The zealots will still say it’s murder. Even if our favorite celebrities said they had abortions, the nuts will still cry murder.

The whole thing made me very uncomfortable. I actually feel it was a mistake to do it. I think that it was all Black women might be a problem also, because people will stereotype, although if you listen to the stories every story is very different. I think a lot of people will never listen to it in full and still have opinions.
