I don’t think gender has anything to do with it. I can go for days without but my husband? Hell no.

Seems like it would be person-based, not gender-based. I have known several women who don’t see cleanliness as a big priority, and various men who are completely fastidious.

I agree with the above. This is an individual choice, nothing to do with gender.

I can think of dozens of variables here that would affect this determination, exactly none of them have anything to do with gender or genitalia.

Back in the Old West, men didn’t bathe because it might wash their protection off. (Protection from sickness, I think it was.)

A man couldn’t compare themselves to a woman and vice versa. I don’t know what it’s like for men and men don’t know what it’s like for women.

Some people are more tolerant of hygiene issues. Some people will also wash their bodies with wet rags or wipes. I never did that and wouldn’t feel comfortable or clean doing that, unless I was absolutely desperate.

I think it would be harder for women than for men, but my man person showers twice every day. He owns and is chef in a restaurant so I greatly appreciate that night-time shower. :)

I just hate this. Rick shut the camper down and drained the water. That was my only shower and hot water access. It’s been a week since I showered at my son’s house. I feel so gross.

Well I have my son’s house. I texted his wife but she didn’t see it I guess.

I just ask because I think about poor pioneer women. They (and we) deal with stuff the men usually don’t have to. Blood. Yeast infections. UTIs. After sex stuff. How did those poor women do it? They didn’t get to bathe very often.

The way my wife carries on I’d bet on women. She has a spaz
attack whenever I climb into the shower first. I mean, if she tells me wants to shower, then go for broke, ladies first. But I’m not much of a mind reader. I’d as soon shower after she does any way, that way if I use to much hot water she won’t know it and then bite my head off when it takes 30 minutes or so to heat back up. Lol

My university first year dorms men had one bathtub for the whole campus while women had few showers and lots of bathtubs with no dividers. Men’s shower stalls all had privacy walls.

I had to keep the door locked in the men’s bathroom and people would keep trying to use the wash room. I bought a cap for the bathtub to keep the water in the tub. Naturally in I took it with me so I had the freedom to bathe anytime I wanted to.
