The two that I can think of that were not in the video linked were “Sopranos” and “Ozark.” Both showed pole dancing not as a feature, but just as part of the business of a strip club that the actors owned -” Tony Soprano in “The Sopranos” and Marty Byrd in “Ozark.” I don’t remember the details of the dances as they were just in the background.

None of the movies in the link were movies that I have ever seen.

If you want to see real athleticism, search for “Chinese poles” in YouTube. It’s amazing. I saw them in a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas about 25 years ago. Really mind boggling.

I don’t have the knowledge to judge like the pro did, nor have I ever seen one for the full length of the dance – the camera goes back and forth, panning around.

Having said that, there have been some that I enjoyed, both in person and on tv/in a movie, that had some athleticism which was impressive.

I have to say that my all-time favorite ‘pole dance’, and you probably can’t even rightly call it that, was Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies. The entire scenario from where she rips the ruffles off of her dress and wets her hair with water from a flower vase, through the end of her dance is simply hot and the humor adds an element of eroticism. The other one I thought was very good was the infamous one in Flashdance.
